Dangerous Location

Has potential, but I wouldn't come back unless the property lives up to that potential. Tile moves, no grout. Main door, handle came off in my hand. The hotel lock gets stuck and then the door gets stuck. The bathroom, not finished, exposed seams in drywall, very messy where the drywall meets the shower tile. Door seam exposed. Sink, hot was cold, cold was hot. Shower head, being held up by duct tape. Not good drainage for shower. Shower head drains consistently after being turned off, almost like it wasnt purged properly, Shower not grouted, will end up being a water damage nightmare, paint peeling behind sink. Shower curtain randomly fell.. And what looks like a bullet hole in the window when you first walk in. And the base boards, weren't base boards, just 2x4s chopped up and nailed to the bottom of the wall

MOLD IN ROOM. I have never left a bad review, but I must for this property. I hoped it would not get to this point. I booked this place for a 21-night stay. When I entered the house, I noticed a damp drain smell. I immediately notified the owner, and he advised me to give it a day because of the ongoing storm. I woke up coughing the next morning. I asked the owner if there was mold in the room because I am allergic and it seemed like I was having a reaction. He told me there was none, and said he had the drains inspected and more cleaning for the room to eliminate the smell. My symptoms worsened the next night and then I discovered mold in the bathroom. When I told the owner, he told me he could not refund me, but if someone else booked my last 19 days, he would give me back 50%. He wanted me to stay in the room despite the impact it was having on my health, just so he could keep my money. I paid him $1465, and had to spend another 2k to find a new place for my stay. It's been 2 months and he has not refunded my money, even after Vrbo has reached out to him. Do not book here if you value your health. Please note that the front gate did not lock.

The Room was clean and tidy, with great communication with Sergio. There is no view however you are right off Biscayne Boulevard therefore great amenities and transport links. The bathroom was small but manageable however the toilet was not 100% fixed down so moved when sat down. The kitchenette was nice and a large fridge however there were no pots and pans for the hob. There was a communal washroom if needed which was appreciated. The door to the room didn’t close flush however the lock worked fine and was no issue. Thank you Sergio, if in the area again I would stay here again.
